Reported from The Telegraph page, Friday (1/18), AirPower is reportedly going to really appear this year. Precisely at the end of January, the wireless charger will be mass produced. This information is obtained from Twitter ChargerLab Twitter account.
ChargerLab itself gets information from sources close to Chinese manufacturing company Luxshare Precision, which is rumored to have started production of AirPower. Luxshare Precision is currently manufacturing for several Apple products, including AirPods wireless earphones and USB-C cables.
ChargerLab also claims that the Taiwanese company Pegatron will start mass production of AirPower at the end of January. AirPower was first exhibited by Apple during the launch of the iPhone X in 2017. The wireless charger is also rumored to be starting to be marketed in 2018, but it doesn't come true.
Apple also deleted all references about AirPower on its site. But when launching the iPhone XS Smart Battery Case some time ago, AirPower was again called by Apple. This reinforces rumors that this wireless charger will be coming soon.
In product information regarding power bank accounts, Apple wrote that the Smart Battery Case is compatible with AirPower Wireless Charging Mat and other chargers with Qi certification. The description later disappeared from all Apple sites.
