Apple Air Power Breezes This Year

February 15, 2019
The Apple Air Power charging device, which will support wireless charging for iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPod, will not be released simultaneously in 2018. Reporting from the Indian Express page, Thursday (3/1), Apple's Air Power was first exhibited when the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X were launched in 2017. But these products have not yet entered the market, and there is a lot of speculation about the future of Apple's AirPower.

Previously, Apple has indicated that Air Power will be launched in 2018, but the company has stopped mentioning this product fully in its device launch event in 2018. In fact, during the iPhone XS launch event, there was no news about the wireless charging device. Apple itself has not commented on when Air Power will be launched.

So, with 2019 officially starting, the big question is whether Apple will finally reveal this product or continue its policy of silence. With this tool, Apple wants to revolutionize wireless charging, because the mattress can charge three devices at once. However, previous reports have indicated that the project has been delayed due to overheating problems.

Reportedly, Apple engineers have faced hardware and software problems with Air Power charging mats. Apple blogger John Gruber from DaringFireball also hinted that the product could be canceled and the company must fully return to the drawing board and restart with a completely different design.

Alo Accepts Voice Based Orders

Smart phone design has a very important role. Consumers are interested in buying a smartphone, one of them because of its attractive design. Unfortunately, in recent years, smartphone designs have not experienced much change.

Seeing the stagnant conditions, two French designers, Phillipe Starck and Jerome Olivet, offered a smartphone design for the future. There are two core of the development of this smartphone design, namely holograms and voice commands.

For those who don't know Philipe Starck, he is the person who is responsible for the design of the Xiaomi Mi Mix. He is the designer of a smartphone that has a thin bezel. Quoted from Ubergizmo, Thursday (3/1), a smartphone named Alo is thought to be in the technological age of voice commands dominating. So, users don't need a lot of touch to operate the smartphone.

All operations on this smartphone will be run with voice commands. For that, the touch screen is no longer needed and the content that comes out of this smartphone is displayed in the form of three-dimensional hologram.

"All functions in Alo are based on sound, reading SMS and e-mail, including to reward users enough to dictate messages instead of typing them," said Olivet, known as a specialist in product design for new technologies.

The camera on Alo also functions like an eye. Not just displaying message content or movies on a hologram, this camera is also used to read text or recognize human faces. Alo's main design is formed from alumium alloy. Alo Casing also functions as a haptic interface, which can provide feedback in the form of vibration and heat.

Although the changes offered seem radical, this smartphone design basically still departs from current technological developments. As is known, a number of technology companies have now begun offering devices equipped with voice-based virtual assistants.

For a while, Alo is indeed still a concept. Nevertheless, Olivet still plans to develop this design into a prototype. What do you think, will the design of a smartphone in the future be like this?
